Welcome to the Attuning a Student Online Tool
There are all kinds of minds, and different minds learn differently. Knowing how a student's mind learns best is key to their success.
This tool provides a place to share observations and thoughts about a student's learning strengths and challenges - a first step in understanding their unique kind of mind.

I have misplaced my login and password information. What should I do?
Contact your child's teacher. He/She can provide you with that information.
I can't access the Parent's View using the Login and Password. What should I do?
Double-check that you have entered the web site address correctly (www.attuningastudent.org). If so, contact your child's teacher to check the accuracy of your Login and Password.
What happens to my responses after I click "Submit"?
Once submitted, responses are stored in a database. When everyone completing a View for a particular student has submitted their responses, the Profile Coordinator generates a report that retrieves and organizes everyone's responses into a Views Consolidation Report. The information in this report helps the Profile Coordinator make hypotheses about a student's neurodevelopmental profile and how weaknesses in certain areas may be causing struggles in school.
How do I change an answer after I click "Submit"? or
What should I do if I accidentally submit my answers too early/before I was ready?
Once submitted, a View cannot be accessed to make changes. If you want to change a response or add new information after submitting your Parent's View, contact your child's teacher. He/She can send you new login and password information that will allow you to re-enter your responses.
PLEASE NOTE: In this instance, you will need to re-enter all of your responses to the View, not just those that you wanted to change or add.

Do I have to respond to every question in the Teacher's View?
No, you do not have to respond to every question. We recommend you complete the sections of the Teacher's View that represent contexts in which you have opportunities to observe and interact with the student.
The first 2 sections (General Strengths & Weaknesses and Affinities) ask for your general thoughts and observations. The other sections (e.g., Following Oral Directions, Social Studies) are focused on particular aspects of school. (NOTE: These sections differ depending on whether you are completing the Early/Intermediate Learner version or the Adolescent version of the Teacher's View.)
If you find you are uncertain about how to respond to a question in the Teacher's View, we encourage you to save your responses and spend some additional time observing the student in class. You can save and return to the Teacher's View as often as you like prior to submitting your responses.
