This Privacy Policy describes the types of information collected and the manner in which such information is collected and used by All Kinds of Minds, its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, the "Institute," "we" or "us") on www.attuningastudent.org (the "Website"). The Website allows users to answer surveys and questions about students intended to assist teachers and parents in teaching those students.

Disclosure of personal information, especially of children, is a sensitive and serious issue, and we protect the privacy both of the students about whom we collect information and the Website's users. Therefore, we will collect and use personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and solely to enable the teachers and parents who use the Website to get the maximum benefit from it. We do not sell or lease any information about any student collected from our users to any third party, except as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

As used in this policy, a "Referring Adult" is a parent, teacher, guidance counselor or other education professional who configures a student record on the Website.

1. Access; Registration

Access to the Website is limited to those who have been given a username and password by a Referring Adult. All information which you provide through the Website will be stored on the Institute's servers.

2. What Information We Collect

2.1 We store information about students, some of whom are under the age of 13. Each student's initial record is configured onto the Website by a Referring Adult. The Referring Adult may give us the student's name, age, grade, primary language and whether the student receives special education services. The Referring Adult may also configure usernames and passwords to allow other people ("users") to answer questions about the student, and may inform us of the relationship between a users and a student (such as whether the user is the student's parent or teacher.)

2.2 Each user may answer questions about an individual student related to that student's behavior, likes/dislikes, learning processes and capabilities. We collect their responses to these questions. Except as specified in Section 2.3, we do not collect information about our users themselves unless a user happens to be a student answering questions about him/herself. If a student is answering questions about him/herself, he/she may be asked about school, activities, favorite/least favorite subjects and learning or study habits or similar topics.

2.3 We store the usernames and passwords assigned to each user. We also store the relationship between that user and a student. Except for the relationship to the student, we do not track any other personally identifiable information about our users.

2.4 The Website may use cookies and web log files to track usage on an anonymous and aggregated basis.

3. Who Receives Information We Collect

3.1 We will release the information acquired about a student to the referring adult who originally configured the student on the Website.

3.2 We will not sell or lease information about students to third parties without the express consent of the student. We may, however share a student's information with third parties under certain circumstances, including: a) if such sharing is necessary to execute a specific request by the student (if the student is not a minor) or the student's parents (if the student is a minor). b) if such sharing is required by law or is necessary to respond to a subpoena, warrant or court order, or to protect the rights of the Institute; and c) if the student or his/her parent (as applicable) give us express permission to share such information with third parties.

3.3 We may share demographic information with third parties on an anonymous and aggregated basis, without revealing the identity of any student or user, subject to this Privacy Policy. One of the reasons that we may do this is to improve the Website's effectiveness.

4. Parental Access

If you are the parent of a student who has entered information about him/herself on the Website, you may send an email to legal@allkindsofminds.org, providing your name, email address and phone number and request a copy of the information provided by that student or request that we delete the information provided by that student.

5. Links

You may occasionally see links on the Website to other websites. The Institute is not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites you may visit through a link found on the Website. If you provide information directly to a different website, different privacy policies may cover the use of your information by the owners of that website. You should always review a website's privacy policy before disclosing your personal information on that website. The Institute maintains other websites that have privacy policies which may differ from that of the Website.

6. Security

The Institute has implemented security measures to protect information from loss, misuse and alteration. We use industry-standard practices such as encrypted storage, firewalls and password protection systems to safeguard the confidentiality of the information you provide to us. Student information is only available to those employees of the Institute who need it to perform their responsibilities.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The latest version of the Privacy Policy will always be available at www.allkindofminds.org/legal.aspx.
